Makar Sankranti or Uttarayan

Makar Sankranti or Uttarayan or Maghi or simply Sankranti, also known in Bangladesh as Poush Sankranti, sam Kranti here means ‘transfer’,

this day is consider as the transition day of Sun into the Capricorn.

Now the sun moves northwards in the Hindu calendar, dedicated to the deity Surya (sun), many native festivals are organized all over Bhãrat.

In this season winter, in the highest peak so people refer special types of food & sweet

 

Makar Sankranti or Uttarayan special cuisine

 

1. Til ke Ladoo – A simple form of ladoo prepared with sesame seeds, jaggery, peanuts and withered coconut. In this till ladoo form, I’ve cook the jaggery saccharinity to a soft ball stage.

So this gives the ladoo a soft and leathery texture.

2. Til Gud ke Ladoo – Delicious ladoo made with sesame seeds and jaggery.

This is one of these healthy ladoo that not only have sesame seeds, but also have peanuts and with coconut.

A veritably easy form and within half an hour the ladoo will be ready.

3. Peanut Chikki – Downtime special sweet of crisp peanut brittles is a special Makar Sankranti form.
